Sendr is a Philippine outdoor and action sports magazine. We started in 2021 with one idea: celebrate the local outdoors.

The country has world-class trails, breaks, rivers, and mountains. Most of them go undocumented. So we go, we shoot it, and we write it down.

What we publish

Every story here comes from someone who was actually there. We did the trail fee. We take the moto uplift. We get rained on. When we tell you a bike park costs P550 and the last run is at 4, it’s because we actually went there.

Five things we cover:

  • People. The riders, runners, climbers, builders, and shop owners who make the scene.
  • Places. Trails, parks, rivers, and routes, with what you need to know before you go.
  • Gear. Tested outside, not unboxed on a desk.
  • Skills. How to get better, and how to stay safe doing it.

Who we are

Sendr is published by Sendr Action Agency, OPC, based in Makati City. We report from across the country, from Benguet to Bukidnon to Palawan. We travel too: Nepal, Japan, Hong Kong, Madeira, Malaysia.

Small team. Everything you read is first-hand.

Carlos Castaño — Founder & Editor
Carlos started Sendr in 2021. He’s a music producer and creative director by trade, a mountain biker by obsession, and the builder behind Sendr Spots. Most of the trail guides here exist because he rode them first and took notes.

Carlo Maraingan — Head of Community
Carlo is the ultimate vibes guy and definitely the dude you want with you on any big day on a mountain. Resourceful and intuitive, Carlo brings the calm into any situation: be it a trailside breakdown or reading the next race.

Michael Gemina — Head of Rider Relations
Arguably the most experienced and hands-down the gnarliest rider in the Sendr crew, Michael still finds the time to lead by example, bring everyone together, and sometimes put out fires, while being a full-time dad and businessman.

Cash Fuerte — Head of Business Development
Cash is a fitness coach, bodybuilder, and community leader in the wellness space. He covers training, conditioning, and the unglamorous work that makes hard days outside possible.

Ray Erik Rabe — Production Lead
Known as one of the best drone pilots in the land, Rix (as we call him) hasn’t met a cliff, a ridge, or a track he wouldn’t wanna fly through. With years of top-tier production behind him, Rix brings a high-level mindset often unmatched in putting things together.

Marc Pusing — Brand Manager
Marc, or Coach Empy, is one of the most recognizable faces in the mountain bike scene. A coach, brand owner, and everyone’s favorite bike shop go-to guy, Marc is always ready to lend a hand, give advice (or a discount), and most importantly, to ride outside.

Chase Bantug — Visayas Lead
A huge part of the reason Sendr’s growth is unstoppable is being able to take part in real, local communities, and Chase is one of the biggest reasons we’ve expanded at the heart of the nation. An international music producer as well as a rad downhill rider, he’s a self-confessed Matt Jones fanboy and is damn proud of it.

Manchos Castaño — Mindanao Lead
Carlos’ brother and original dance partner, Manchos is a mountaineer, surfer, and all-around adventurer and glue guy who gets things done. Famously summiting Mt. Apo with Carlos and no guide (they got lost), Manchos now runs one of Davao’s best motorcycle shops in town.

Tash de Castro — Contributing Editor
Tash works in marketing and brand, and has spent years in the outdoors — often at the same time. She writes about the people side of the scene: the riders, the shop owners, the ones building something.
