So, there’s been tons of talk floating around the internet about the good ol’ days, how things were, and how they oughta be, especially when it comes to Timberland and its mountain biking scene. Gatekeeping and all that aside, the buzz about Timberland’s comeback was loud and clear from both the yay-sayers and the nay-sayers.

And for all the mountain bike enthusiasts out there, the reopening of Timberland is a breath of fresh air.

Positioned as a world-class bike park complemented by a distinguished resort within a prestigious development, it serves as a source of pride for Filipinos, offering a much-needed respite and diverse recreational opportunities within a bustling cityscape.

Highlighted in the accompanying video, TMBP emerges as a meticulously designed and expertly executed playground for mountain biking enthusiasts. Seamlessly integrating technical challenges with enjoyable flow, its trails promise an experience that is both demanding and gratifying. Presently, our exploration has led us through nine trails, with The Matrix and Enter the Dragon emerging as clear favorites, leaving the remainder for subsequent exploration or personal discovery.

The establishment and management of TMBP are entrusted to Trail Solutions, a collective deeply acquainted with Timberland’s terrain and ethos. Their meticulous approach is evident in the purposeful design of each feature, ensuring safety and enjoyment for riders. From ascent to descent, and from infrastructure to safety protocols, meticulous planning has culminated in a world-class experience.

RIDING THE PARK

Accessing TMBP is facilitated through Timberland Highlands Resort, with designated parking and registration facilities readily available upon entry. Day passes can be secured through the TMBP mobile app or on-site. A brief ascent leads to the Park’s entrance, where the Launch Pad serves as a gateway to the various trails.

At the Launch Pad, riders can prepare physically and mentally for the day ahead, appreciating the significance of this starting point within the park’s network. TMBP caters to a diverse range of riders, from trail enthusiasts to fitness enthusiasts and seasoned enduro riders, offering a meticulously curated experience tailored to individual preferences.

The trail network at TMBP is extensive, with standout options including The Matrix and Enter the Dragon. Safety remains paramount, with mandatory helmet and safety gear requirements reinforced throughout the park. Additionally, provisions for refreshments and amenities within the Skills Zone ensure a well-rounded experience for visitors.

TMBP’s commitment to clear signage and comprehensive infrastructure underscores its dedication to safety and accessibility, setting a standard for trail management within the region. Lastly, TMBP is open Tuesday to Sunday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. (last entry at 1 p.m.) and the Bike Park Day Pass is at P550 net per rider.
