Well, we’re back to round out the 10 POPULAR BIKE BRANDS in the Philippines. The last list got a lot of people messaging us brands they love, with of course what they thought about us — note that it was all loving and respectful, we’re part of a great community, mind you. With that, we HAD to finish the WHOLE list, so here it is. Hopefully, your bike is here. And if it isn’t, well…

SANTA CRUZ

Santa Cruz is a sweet brand that makes mountain bikes. They’re based in California and have been around since 1993. People love Santa Cruz bikes because they’re high-quality and can handle all kinds of terrain.

They make all sorts of bikes, from cross-country to downhill, and one of their most popular models is the Bronson. It’s a dope all-mountain bike that can climb and descend like a champ. The Nomad is another popular model that’s made for gnarly enduro and downhill riding and of course, the legendary V10 downhill race bike.

Santa Cruz is also all about sustainability, which is rad. They use eco-friendly materials and production methods, and they try to keep things local to reduce their carbon footprint. They sponsor a bunch of pro riders and teams too, like the Santa Cruz Syndicate downhill team — that includes the GOAT Greg Minnaar and the heir to the throne, Jackson Goldstone. Bottom line, if you want a sweet mountain bike that’s built to last and mind-blowingly perform, Santa Cruz is definitely a brand to check out.

TRANSITION

Transition Bikes is an amazing company that makes REALLY amazing mountain bikes. They’re based in Washington State and they’ve been around since 2001, and well we gotta warn ya, 3 of us in SENDR ride Transition so we’re really biased with our love for Transition. Carlos rides the enduro machine Sentinel, Chase sends in Cebu with his mullet-monster Patrol, and Cash speeds it up with his Spire.

Transition bikes are all about fun and shredding, and they make bikes for all kinds of riding, from cross-country to downhill to everything in between. One of their most popular bikes is the aforementioned Patrol, which is an all-mountain bike with 160mm of travel that can handle anything you throw at it. Another favorite is the Scout, which is a trail bike that’s super playful and fun to ride. They’ve also been going all-in on E-MTBs, which are a polarizing topic yeah, but we love it.

What’s cool about Transition is that they’re all about rider-owned and operated so they’re not just some corporate brand, they’re a bunch of riders who love bikes that want to make sick rides for other riders. And trust us, they’re SUPER SICK!

NUKEPROOF

Nukeproof is a sick bike brand that makes bikes for all kinds of mountain biking. They’ve been around since 1990 and they’re based in Northern Ireland, making their merry way to the Philippines and winning the hearts of many gnarly riders.

Nukeproof actually started out making bike parts, like hubs and rims, and then moved on to making complete bikes. And we’ll tell you, their bikes are legit! They make bikes for all levels of riders, from beginners to pros, and for all types of riding, like downhill, enduro, trail, and cross-country.

The Mega and the Giga are fan-favorites, winning a bunch of bike awards and podiums for their racers. Another popular model is the Scout, which is a hardtail bike that’s perfect for trail riding. We see A LOT of Nukeproofs around, especially in 3 Skulls DH.

PIVOT

Pivot Bikes is a company that makes high-performance bicycles for a variety of different riding disciplines, from cross-country racing to downhill shredding. They’re based in Tempe, Arizona, and have been around since 2007.

One of the riders who’s been repping Pivot Bikes for a while now is also one of our favorites– Bernard Kerr, a British professional mountain biker who’s known for his insane speed and style on the downhill course. He’s won a bunch of big races, including the Red Bull Hardline (THREE TIMES) and the Crankworx Whistler Dual Slalom, among many others.

Kerr is also a bit of a YouTube sensation, thanks to his series of “LSD” videos, which feature him and his buddies ripping around some of the world’s most iconic riding spots. The videos are super fun to watch, and they showcase Kerr’s playful personality and his love for all things two-wheeled. In fact, his channel is one of our main inspirations for building our own.

COMMENCAL

Commencal Bikes is a dope, drool-worthy bike brand that’s based in Andorra. They’ve been around since 2000 and they make some of the sickest mountain bikes out there. They have a bunch of sponsored riders and teams, and some of the most well-known include Amaury Pierron, Myriam Nicole, and Rémi Thirion. These riders are all World Cup champions, so you know Commencal bikes are legit beasts.

One of the most popular bikes from Commencal is the Meta AM, which is a killer all-mountain bike that’s been ridden to victory by Pierron and Nicole. It’s got 170mm of travel and it’s just an all-around badass bike. There’s just too much to mention about Commencal Bikes, but going back, the mere fact that most of the World Champs ride Commencal, even in the top of top, tells you that Commencal is definitely a brand to ride.
